**Starting Friday, March 1st Quotes for a Cause begins. You can help out our PTO by calling to get a quote on home/auto/life/disability insurance. For every quote NS receives, the PTO will get $10. You have the ability to help out our PTO and possibly save money on your insurance. This program runs March 1-31. (570) 752-4466.
Reading:
We start a new story tomorrow. The new vocab/spelling list will be sent home tomorrow. The focus for the story will be author's purpose. Vocab and comprehension test Friday (3/8). Reading fluency passage due Friday, this is not optional. Students have to read it twice every night while being timed. The time gets logged on the paper along with parent initials.
Grammar:
Possessive noun quiz Wednesday. Our next focus will be on verbs.
Spelling:
Pretest #11 tomorrow. Tuesday homework- write incorrect words 3x each. Dojo points for extra practice. Posttest will be Monday.
Math:
The addition and subtraction problems are getting harder, please make sure facts are being practiced. Homework Monday-Thursday night.
Social Studies:
Our focus will be on maps and our community. Your child will need to know their address to complete the first activity I have planned- Due Wednesday.
