**Starting Friday, March 1st Quotes for a Cause begins. You can help out our PTO by calling to get a quote on home/auto/life/disability insurance. For every quote NS receives, the PTO will get $10. You have the ability to help out our PTO and possibly save money on your insurance. This program runs March 1-31. (570) 752-4466.
Reading:
We started a new story about communicating with someone via writing a letter. Your child is responsible for picking someone they would like to write a letter to and have their address in school by Wednesday. A paper with specifics in in the folder today. Vocab and comprehension test Friday (3/22). Reading fluency passage due Friday, this is not optional. Students have to read it twice every night while being timed. The time gets logged on the paper along with parent initials. Speed drill due Friday- Dojo points if completed.
Grammar:
Our new skill is singular and plural verbs, quiz next Thursday (3/21).
Spelling:
List #12 post test Monday (3/18) Monday homework- write incorrect words 3x each. Dojo points for extra practice.
Math:
There will be a quiz Wednesday on subtracting 2 digit numbers with and without regrouping. The addition and subtraction problems are getting harder, please make sure facts are being practiced. Homework Monday-Thursday night.
Social Studies:
Students will finish putting their address into a project this week.
