Thank you for all of your basket donations! Any student that donated to our basket will receive a ticket for a special prize drawing at the auction. They will also receive a free dress down day.
Reading:
The focus of our new story is fact/opinion. Vocab and comprehension (A Weed is a Flower) test Friday (5/3). Reading fluency passage due Monday, this is not optional. Students have to read it twice every night while being timed. Speed drill (voluntary) is due Monday.
Grammar:
We will be learning about verb forms of to be (ex. am, is are, was and were), quiz Thursday (5/2).
Spelling:
List #15 posttest test Friday (4/26). The focus is comparative endings -er, -est (example- bigger, biggest) Homework Monday night- corrections 3x each.
Math:
Unit 5 focuses on time and measurement. We will continue discussing time, but our focus this week will be measurement. Quiz on measurement Thursday. Unit 5 test Monday (4/29) Homework Monday-Thursday night.
Science:
What is matter? Students will explore different forms of matter.
