Reading:
Our first reading test will be Tuesday, Sept. 17th. Please continue to study the vocab and discuss the skill. Our new story and skill will be starting Wednesday. Fluency passage due Friday.
Spelling:
List #2 pretest Tuesday- Write misspelled words 3x each, due Wednesday. Post test is scheduled for Friday, Sept. 27th.
-Grammar- We will begin discussing subjects and predicates.
-Math- Our first unit focuses on place value and ways to organize and represent information. Homework Monday-Thursday.
-Social Studies- We are discussing community helpers. Study guide will be sent home Tuesday for a quiz Wednesday.
Reminders:
Our nightly homework will consist of a math sheet, review the spelling and vocab words, and reading fluency passage. Some nights I will also send home a decodable reader. Please take time to read it with your child and also model reading (fluency, expression, etc.). Remember the most up to date homework can be found on my homework blog.
