Reading:
This week's skill focus is characters. The assessment will be Friday. Please read stories with your child and ask them questions about the characters in the stories. Fluency passage due Friday.
Spelling:
List #2 post test Thursday- The next list will focus on consonant blends, pretest Monday.
-Grammar- Subject/predicate quiz Friday.
-Math- Our first unit focuses on place value and ways to organize and represent information. Homework Monday-Thursday.
-Social Studies- We continue reading about different types of community helpers.
Reminders:
Our nightly homework will consist of a math sheet, review the spelling and vocab words, and reading fluency passage. Some nights I will also send home a decodable reader. Please take time to read it with your child and also model reading (fluency, expression, etc.). Remember the most up to date homework can be found on my homework blog.
